Frequently asked questions

When are Chick Days?

Typically we do chick days at the farm once a month March, April & May.  We have a wide variety of chicks available.  And it's something you don't want to miss!

What are Chick Drops?

During the summer we move to drop offs instead of chick days at the farm as it is easier on our summer schedule.  Chick drops are typically once a month.  Specific drop locations and times can be found on our "Events" tab.

Do you accept payment here on the website?

Simple answer is no.  We accept payment at time chick(s) are picked up.  To many things can happen between when an order is placed and when they are dropped off.  We also want to ensure you are happy with the chick we have picked out for you before you pay.

What type of payment do we accept?

We accept: Cash, Cash App, Venmo & PayPal (Friends and Family)

New chicken precautions:

We strongly recommend quarantining any new chicken you bring home for 1-2 weeks prior to integrating them into your flock.  As we try our very best to sell only healthy chicks sometimes things are not visible to either of us unfortunately at time of pick up.

Chick heat recommendations

Chicks need heat during the first month of life until their feathers have grown in.  In the very cold months (February- April) we use heat lamps and heat plates.  In the warmer months May- October we only use heat plates as the ambient air is much warmer.  If your chicks are huddled together and chirping a lot chances are they need more heat.  If their panting their probably to hot.

Hatching eggs

We are happy to now be able to offer all of our chicks in hatching eggs as well so you can experience the joys of watching them hatch right at home.  Eggs are pick up only from the farm or available at one of our monthly drop offs.  Hatching eggs are a risk and you are never guaranteed a hatch.  We do promise that we hatch from them ourselves regularly.  No refund will be given based on hatch results.
