Silkie's- Straight Run

These chicks are from our partner Nathan's coop. These are defiently a designer breed in the chicken world. They are very friendly and often tend to go broody.  They lay a small cream egg about 3 per week after they reach maturity at 7-9 months.  They are known for their silkie and fluffy feathers.  They also have a 5th toe unlike normal chickens and black skin.  Silkies also can not fly due to their fluffy feathers.  Silkie's make great pets and are known to be great with children.
